Banting is a change in lifestyle and not a quick diet; this is according to Co- Author of ‘Banting Solutions’ Bernadine Douglas.
This high fat-medium protein and low carbohydrate diet seems to be catching on like wild fire, and it does not hurt that it produces the desirable results for many.
Banting has become a buzz word. However, it has also created a discomfort for some groups within the health industry.
In an interview with Morning Live Douglas says, “I think a lot of people want to start with Banting thinking it’s a quick diet but it’s a complete lifestyle change where you will be eating real fresh foods.“
She says in Banting a persons carbohydrates may be high and low for another person this makes Banting individually based.
